National Grid’s Hurst Substation

The largest-ever continuous placement of cement-free Earth Friendly Concrete—incorporating 25 percent fly ash—was carried out to fill the base of a 180-foot-deep tunnel drive shaft at the National Grid’s Hurst substation in South London.
