“Japan issues guidelines on ‘proper disposal’ of used solar modules”

The Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association has published voluntary guidelines on how to dispose of solar PV panels at the end of their useful life. Manufacturers, importers, and distributors of solar panels are being called on to provide information on chemicals incorporated into such panels to help inform waste disposal companies of their contents.
